Gaslight Club - Oporto - 33 Call Lane - Leeds - Free
The Gaslight Club is a free weekly night run by Dead Young Records and hosted by Gary Stewart.
The night is based on the New York coffee-house vibe of the 1960's when venues in places like Bleecker Street and MacDougal would host then unknown's like Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Carole King, Joni Mitchell and James Taylor.
Every Monday evening one of the coolest and most notorious bars in our land is transformed into a place of wonder and awe as people young and old gather round candle lit tables to witness some of the finest music they've probably never heard of.
Spellbound they they huddle together sipping their favourite tipple taking in all that is brought to them by the joint minds of some of the cities and countries most creative minds.
In the few years since we began we've seen the likes of Slow Club, Blue Roses, The Crookes, Hannah Peel, Ellen & The Escapades, Treetop Flyers, Paul Thomas Saunders, Lone Wolf, Brasstronaught, Sam Airey, To Kill a King, Emily Jane White and many more play intimate sets for us and long may this tradition continue.
This is the Gaslight Club, and it's a pretty special place so get down early to guarantee a seat!
All hosted by the wonderful Gary Stewart and friends
